I know this isn't fashion related, but I had to spread the word. When I read that Susie Cakes had taken 1st place for their red velvet cupcake in the 2009 LA Cupcake Challenge, I couldn't believe my eyes! How could they beat out my favorite red velvet cupcake at Sprinkles? I got in my car right away and sped off to the nearest Susie Cakes in Newport Beach. Wow! I was surprised. Creamy not too sweet cream cheese frosting with a homemade taste to it, light & fluffy red velvet cake with a rich cocoa smell. Once again I'm in love!

Since I don't live anywhere near a decent cupcake bakery I have to make my own. So do you like the Susie Cakes cupcakes better than Sprinkles?
